The Nature in the Home series is back over at Littlegreenshed! I’m really pleased to be taking part again. I love the impetus to bring some of the outside in and I find that searching for, selecting, and photographing my objects for the week can be a soothing, almost meditative experience.
This week, it’s my current favourites- rosehips, along with a fennel seed head. I looked in the garden for plants which featured in my Wild Food book, and photographed them alongside their illustrations. Rosehip jam is on my to-make list next week, and I have been drinking a lot of fennel tea of late as it’s supposedly good for nursing mothers.
Autumn is such a lovely time to be bringing a little nature in.
Just stunning Laura! Thank you for joining me again. Must email you xxx
Lovely photos – I’m feeling really into wild food at the moment too and have been keeping my eyes peeled for mushrooms wherever I go. Never did get around to that Rowan Jelly though!
I love the red rose hips this time of year, you’ve photographed them beautifully!
I’m still trying to find a decent patch of rosehips 🙂 I was going to make syrup but jam sounds lovely too! x
I love the snippets lined up with the illustrations. Rose~hip jam sounds wonderful xx
