This weekend, some very dear friends of ours got married at a characterful country house in the middle of the Shropshire hills. There was all manner of guest accommodation scattered through the grounds. Ours was a grand but gently crumbling flat in the stable block, filled with eclectic antiques and with its large windows overlooking a sunken garden.
I am not usually one to cry at weddings but this particular ceremony did bring a tear to my eye and the reception was utterly fabulous and filled with thoughtful touches, from the kids’ colouring packs and toy animals on their place settings to the huge vats of self-service cocktails! I was one of the “official” wedding photograhers and really enjoyed seeking out and capturing small details and special moments. Those photographs aren’t mine to share, so instead, here are some of the other scenes that caught my eye during the course of the weekend.
