When October hands you a peach of a day, you have to take it and make the most of every minute. We packed an impromtu picnic of cheeses, bread and tomatoes from the previous day’s trip to the farmers market, brewed up a flask of tea, and threw in some Blackberry Kutchen leftover from breakfast (thanks, Tess, for the delicious suggestion!). The sky was a turquoise blue, laced with dreamy clouds. From time to time a glider was towed above our heads, to the boys’ excitement. We sat and drank tea in the sunshine, noticing signs of autumn in the nearby hedgerow, whilst the boys ran through the grass and the baby kicked his toes on the rug. Thank you, October- Indian Summer days are by far the sweetest.
