This weekend was National Trust free weekend so we took the opportunity to re-visit Newark Park, a favourite of ours. In honour of St George’s day, there was a dragon trail and the boys enjoyed a chance to re-enact the story of George and the Dragon with their friends. Unlike this time last year, there were no bluebells or wild garlic flowers as yet, but there was blossom on the trees and the peacock was obliging enough to provide us with a shimmering display. Nothing says Sunday afternoon more than a wander around a National Trust garden.
Beautiful photos! Sadly we didn’t make it to a National Trust place this weekend as we were away but I’ve seen so many people telling what a great time they’ve had – a National Treasure x
Look at that Peacock!!! Looks like a great visit.
Very obliging peacock! I love weekends when you get to enjoy something a little out of the ordinary.
Lovely photos. That peacock seems like he greatly enjoyed having his photo taken 🙂
