patchwork May

In this house, May felt like a month of endless waiting! The two year old was excitedly looking forward to his third birthday and all of us were anticipating the arrival of the baby. Around us the greens were getting brighter and fresher and the flowers were brightly blooming. There was more and more time spent out in the increasingly warm air. The due date passed, and I felt more impatient by the day. In the end, baby E arrived two weeks late on the day after his brother’s birthday. Suddenly the long wait was completely forgotten as we breathed in his newborn scent, admired the tiny toes and perfect fingers and welcomed with endless love the smallest member of our family.
