May, how glorious you have been. Ever my favourite month in the countryside, with swathes of cow parsley, buttercups in the meadows, wild garlic in bloom and the dwindling golden fields, now speckled with green.
It’s been a time for gathering armfuls of flowers, for long walks down the prettiest lanes, foraging in the woods and leaping through the fields. We’ve had two family birthdays, with an abundance of cake. There’s been family adventures and rambles by the ocean, with a visit to brilliant Fore/ Adventure on Dorset’s Studland peninsula.
The month ended on an absolute high, with a weekend at Lou’s Sisterhood camp, a magical time of flowers, freedom and friendship. I’ll be sharing more about it in due course.
As ever, I’ve been looking back- to last May’s’s patchwork – and to the month ahead, with a Pinterest board for June.
