The last couple of days have been gloriously sunny. It is amazing how just a few rays of sunshine make a huge difference to my mood, particularly at this point in the Winter. This morning, my littlest and I decided to make the most of the weather and set out for a walk (or an adventure, as R calls it). The sky was the brightest of blues, and we spotted several signs of impending Spring: primroses, snowdrops and catkins to name but a few. Being two, R was most interested in searching out mud and sticks, and befriending a passing cat. I, meanwhile, breathed in deeply and tried to soak up every little bit of sun.
I know exactly what you mean about the sun lifting your spirits at this time of year. The effect is truly amazing. Long may it last. Lovely pictures, love a bright blue sky.
We are experiencing the opposite, just a bit of cool weather at the end of summer to get us all excited for autumn! Love the shot of the muddy gumboots x
ah the joys of soaking up the winter sun. sadly it’s grey again here………….
Sun in the winter feels like such a treat doesn’t it? I am very much enjoying the early sunrises as the sky is such a lovely pinky salmon colour, full of promise for a lovely bright day and a clear blue sky – long may it last! Your day with your little adventurer sounds lovely x
Hasn’t the weather been amazing! It’s incredible what a little bit of sun can do to your spirits – roll on Spring!!!
