We have reached the solstice. Midsummer. The longest day.
I can’t bring myself to think that the daylight hours are slowly starting to dwindle, but summer truly starts here, and I am so glad of it. We’ve got all sorts of adventures ahead- I can hardly wait! This turning point in the year is the perfect time to pause, to celebrate, to be glad of the light, the warmth of the sunshine and of all things summery.
Happy Solstice to you.
There is still plenty of summer and sunshine and nice evenings to come! xx
And a happy solstice to you too! 🙂
Beautiful message, thank you!
Happy Solstice! Midsummer’s day will be 24th June.
I do like what you say about midsummer Laura.
And a happy midsummer to you too. You are right, there are many good adventures ahead. Let’s enjoy!
Oh don’t say the days are getting shorter – I know it’s true I’m just not prepared to admit it until at least the autumn equinox! Happy Solstice!
It was such a glorious day, wasn’t it? I’m not looking forward to the days getting shorter again, though. I shall make sure to delight in the light and balmy evenings for as long as possible…
midsummer wishes to you too xxx
Beautiful flower photo! I live for the summer, I get so depressed in Winter. Lets hope this glorious sunshine continues…unlike last year x
