A couple of weeks ago, on a dusky Bristol eve, I attended the Nomads Clothing press event at under-the-arch artisans, Hart’s Bakery. Run by Lionheart editor and all-round wonder, Hels Martin, it was an evening of many delights.
Although they were new to me, Nomads have actually been making clothes since 1989, championing ethical fashion, slow fashion, traditional crafts and high quality pieces to treasure. They have the softest organic cotton, hand block printed textiles, hand loom woven items and the most delicate embroidery. Theirs are special pieces to wear every day.
I left with this beauty of a dress, and I am utterly besotted with it. Not only is it comfortable, but it’s also pretty, stylish and super-flattering. All that and fair-trade too. Just the thing for mooching around Paris, and casually posing in front of elegant doors!
